Starting with July 1, the benefit provided by the state to pensioners and other persons with the pension lower than 1,500 lei will be twice higher – 100 lei, 120 lei and 180 lei respectively. Until now this benefit was offered to persons with the pension lower than 1,300 lei, IPN reports.
Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family Valentina Buliga, after the June 28 meeting of the Cabinet, said the ceiling was raised from 1,300 to 1,500 lei in a mover to increase the number of recipients of state benefit.
If the maintainer is lost, the benefit will be 100 lei per child. If both of the parents are lost, the financial assistance will be twice higher.
A sum of 824.7 million lei will be needed annually for the purpose. The bill was drafted by the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family and is to be examined by Parliament.
