High-alert intervention: Attic of residential building engulfed in flames

The attic apartments of a six-story apartment building located in Buiucani district of the capital city caught fire on Sunday evening. Eight teams of firefighters and rescuers, with a staff of 50 employees of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, intervened to extinguish the fire, IPN reports.

The call announcing the fire on Paris St was received on September 29 at 5:26 p.m. A General Staff was created on the spot to manage the intervention. The flames engulfed 50% of the attic. Firefighters managed to locate the fire at 06:26, forming four firefighting sectors to completely extinguish the fire.

The dwellers were safely evacuated and no one was hurt.
