The effects of the meteorological conditions generated dissatisfaction among the population and municipal councilors. The Liberal councilors asked to call a meeting of the Chisinau Municipal Council so as to agree concrete steps to prevent emergencies. “The municipality of Chisinau is more often paralyzed by floods, bomb threats, fires and other catastrophes that are witnessed regularity in our city. Not only last night’s rain (August 30) showed that the municipality can be easily turned into a small Venice after rain that lasts for several minutes. It happened so after the recent rain with floods that caused considerable damage to private individuals and legal entities working here,” said the Liberal group.

The head of the group of the Party of Action and Solidarity on the CMC Roman Cojuhari published photos of a section of Ion Creangă St in Buiucani district, which suffered damage due to the rain. This street was reopened to vehicle traffic following extensive repair works only a year ago.
