Heating season in Chisinau will start in mid October

An order on the beginning of the heating season in the middle of October will be signed, the interim Mayor of Chisinau, Vasile Ursu, announced at a meeting from the City Hall. Kindergartens, schools and hospitals will be the first ones to be connected. The pre-higher and pre-school education institutions are ready 100% to receive thermal energy. The directors of medical institutions, however, are not hurrying to get connection orders, the commercial director of JSC “Termocom”, Mihai Arusoi declared. According to him some administrators of living blocks already obtained the supply orders. The situation of 500 of them is however dramatic be cause the lodgers have significant debts for the last year’s heating season, Arusoi says. The interim Mayor solicited the district mayoralties to collaborate with the inhabitants of those 500 blocks with debts so that they would pay them until the beginning of the heating season. According to the data provided by “Termocom”, the average level of payment for the last year’s heating season constituted 99%. The thermal energy supplier has to recover MDL 3.3 mln more.
