The naming of deputy ministers was a subject of considerable debate in the April 27 meeting of the Government. Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Moldovanu reproached the Premier for delaying the inclusion of the given issue in the agenda. Vlad Filat replied that the deputy ministers will be appointed later, Info-Prim Neo reports. Mihai Moldovanu, who was fielded by the Liberal Party, said that he asked the Premier to raise the issue of appointment of deputy ministers a month ago, but his request remained without an answer. Vlad Filat stated that he knows very well what and when should be done. More than half of the deputy ministers are waiting for the relevant Government decision to see if they will remain in their posts or will be replaced. Earlier, the Liberal Party expressed its wish to have deputy ministers in a number of key ministries, including the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry. The Liberals do not share the idea that a ministry should be administered by representatives of a single party of the ruling alliance.
