The “Heart of Moldova” Party is launching a national campaign to collect signatures. At a press conference, the party's chairwoman Irina Vlah said the citizens will be asked to sign a declaration-appeal on the need to hold a referendum on the neutrality of the Republic of Moldova, IPN reports.

"In the coming weeks, we will organize meetings in each district and town, where everyone will be able to sign our appeal to the authorities. The people choose peace, and we will make this message heard!", said Irina Vlah.

Through this approach, the party aims to make the government "take into account the will of the people and start the actions needed to organize the referendum, and later – to obtain the international recognition of the permanent neutrality of the Republic of Moldova."

The "Heart of Moldova" Party, led by Irina Vlah, announced that it will not give up the idea of organizing a referendum on the neutrality of the Republic of Moldova, even if the Central Election Commission rejected the application to register the initiative group to support the holding of a national consultative referendum. According to the Commission, the question proposed for the referendum goes beyond the constitutional and legal framework, violates the clear principles of formulation and, respectively, cannot be put to the citizens' vote.
