Maib continues to support Ukrainian refugee citizens on the territory of the Republic of Moldova. In June, the bank transferred the fourth tranche of 503,578 lei from the estimated donation of about 10 million lei, which the bank undertook to provide during 2022. Of this amount, 457,360 lei come from transactions made with maib cards, and 46,218 lei were donated to the particular account “Help Ukraine” through maibank and self-service terminals.

Thus, the four tranches amount to 2,887,058 lei, a donation made so far to the fund opened by the Government for supporting Ukrainian citizens on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.

The first tranche of 1,522,809 lei, accrued based on February transactions and full monthly salaries of members of the Bank's Board and Chairman of the Board, as well as donations from members of the Management Committee, was transferred in March to the account to support the Ukrainian people.

The second tranche of the donation of 392,725 lei, based on the March transactions of the bank’s customers, was transferred in April to the refugee support fund. In addition, another 251,057.36 lei were donated by maib customers and employees to the particular “Help Ukraine” account  through maibank and self-service terminals.

The third tranche, amounting to 467,946 lei, accumulated from the transactions carried out in April, was donated in the first week of May.

We remind you that monthly maib donates a fixed amount for each transaction made with a debit or credit card issued by the bank and for each payment made at any POS terminal and in the e-commerce network. Maib cardholders who want to support this initiative are encouraged to use the cards as often as possible to increase the amount donated to the refugee support fund.

We stand with the Ukrainian people!
