Groups of people are gathering together in public places in the capital city. On Facebook, Internet users post photos and videos of people who come together near the Gaudeamus Cinema, in the square of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova and near the Bridge in Telecentru quarter. These said the people were mobilized by the Democratic Party to protest if the Bloc ACUM forms an alliance with the Party of Socialists. A protest is also mounted in front of the head office of the Party “Action and Solidarity”, where dozens of police officers monitor the situation, IPN reports.
Vice president of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” Inga Grigori on Facebook posted photos of buses bringing people in an organized way to the square of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova.
Party “Action and Solidarity” jurist Sergiu Litvinenko published a video of four buses full of people with Balti registration numbers that stopped at a filling station near Sărăteni village of Telenești district, on the road to Chisinau. He said employees of Parliament confirmed they were told to leave the building.
Civic activist Ștefan Gligor stated employees of a number of state institutions were obliged to form groups and head for the PAS office to protest against a PSRM-ACUM common vote. A similar instruction was given for June 8 and groups of people are to come together for a protest at 10am.
People from the crowd carry placards with messages critical of the leaders of the Bloc ACUM. “We united and made common cause to protest for our country and our people. We represent the Democratic Party and want stability in the country as we are sick and tired of the circus staged by Maia Sandu, Andrei Năstase and the Socialists,” said one of the protesters.
