A group of teachers from Moldova said they support the nominee for the office of President Andrei Nastase, who is the leader of the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth”. The announcement was made in a news conference at IPN.
The statement that the teachers read in the news conference says the political class of Moldova should be replaced. According to them, the presidential elections are held amid an unprecedented economic, political, social, demographic and moral crisis. Moldova needs persons who would govern in the interests of the people and would be near the people and with the face towards them.
“We consider that of all the possible candidates, Andrei Nastase is the one who has all the qualities needed by a powerful, courageous and professional President of the people. He showed that he is on the people’s side and, if he is elected President, he will safeguard the people’s interests and, will stop the slip to chaos and poverty, which is even more important,” says the statement signed by teachers of schools, colleges, lyceums and universities.
Tamara Cordun, professor of the Building Center of Excellence of Chisinau, said that since 1990 she has voted in all the elections and expected the government to make changes to ensure welfare. “But we now have a captured state close to collapse, where poverty and debauchery prevail in all the spheres of life,” she stated, noting that given such a situation ,they reached the conclusion that a people’s, anti-system President must be elected on October 30.
According to the teacher of Vocational School No. 7 of Chisinau Ilie Turcanu, many of the young specialists go abroad after they graduate, while those who remain in the country can find a job with difficulty. Moldova needs a President who will bring the Moldovans from all over the world home.
The statement was signed by all the ten teachers who gave the news conference.
