The municipal Green Areas Association from now on will be managed by Victoria Covali, who worked as the deputy head of the state-run Forestry Agency “Moldsilva”. She was presented in the Monday meeting of officials of municipal services, IPN reports.
Mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban welcomed Victoria Covali into the team, saying that she is a specialist with experience in the field of green areas in which a lot is yet to be done.
For her part, Victoria Covali said the green areas are an important area for the municipality, which should be the calling card of Chisinau, and also for the residents of the city, for their physical and emotional comfort.
The post of director of the Green Areas Association fell vacant with the dismissal of Sergey Carp following the death of a child who was hit by a falling tree branch in “Alunelul” Park of Chisinau.
