Two freestyle wrestlers have qualified for the final of the European Under-23 Wrestling Championships held in Rome. These are Nicolai Grahmez (65 kg) and Andrian Grosul (79 kg), IPN reports.
Before reaching the final, Grahmez beat Turkey’s Ibrahim Kar (4-0), Ukraine’s Denys Borohan (8-6), Armenia’s Gegham Galstyan (8-4) and Giorgi Elbakidze of Georgia (14-4). For his part, Grosul easier eliminated Julian Gebhard of Germany (10-0), Russia’s Astamur Gunba (11-0) and Orkhan Abasov of Azerbaijan(12-4).
In the final, Grahmez meets Russia’s Aznaur Tavaev, while Grosul plays against Ramazan Ishak Sari of Turkey.
In the women’s competition, Anastasia Nikita became European U23 champion after defeating Ukraine’s Tetiana Rizhko 12-2 in the final.
