The government claims that the administration in Tiraspol has changed its rhetoric and offered a new justification, namely that there is money, but no euro and dollar accounts to purchase gas from European markets. The spokesperson for the executive, Daniel Vodă, states that these claims are nothing more than falsifications, as companies from the left bank of the Dniester export to the EU and carry out transactions without problems, IPN reports.

"If there are over 1,200 companies from the left bank of the Dniester that export 80% of the region's products to the European Union without issues, it is clear that the transaction system works. The solution? Compliance with the laws of the Republic of Moldova. The rest are just excuses... or lack of will," said the spokesperson.

Daniel Voda mentioned that the government is open and ready to support people from the left bank of the Dniester for a peaceful, stable, and prosperous future together. "In the face of this externally caused crisis, the authorities in Chisinau have come up with several solutions to prevent an energy and humanitarian catastrophe in the region, including purchasing gas from other sources," stated the executive official.

He emphasized that solutions exist, but the unconstitutional authorities in the Transnistrian region refuse dialogue and spread false information, blaming everyone except those who created the crisis and "turned off the tap". "The energy blackmail orchestrated by Russia in the Transnistrian region must stop", added Daniel Voda.

The leader of Tiraspol, Vadim Krasnoselski, stated during his meeting with the chairperson of the OSCE and Finland's Foreign Minister, Elina Valtonen, that the lack of euro and dollar accounts prevents them from purchasing natural gas from European markets. He claimed that "Moldova has closed all the bank accounts of Transnistrian companies".
