Government to gasify and repair roads in localities of Ungheni raion in Cula river region

The Government will gasify and repair roads in the localities of Ungheni raion, situated in the region of Cula River, according to an Action Plan for 2006-2015 on improving the social-economic situation of these localities. This decision was approved; however financial sources for the projects must be identified. According to a Governmental decision, approved at the last meeting of the Government, the Ministry of Transport and Roadway Management will examine the reasonability of renaming a public roadway of the access way Cornesti – Boghenii Noi – Radenu – Hoginesti and will include repair works for it in the annual maintenance programs of public roadways, financed from the resources of the roadway fund. As well, the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure will include the gasification works of these localities in the annual gasification program. The draft decision was elaborated by the Construction and Territory Development Agency in order to implement the National Program “Moldovan village” for 2005-2015. The support offered to the localities of Ungheni raion was motivated by the increased risk of the geological process happening in the region: floods, soil erosion and others. This plan will help the local budgets, which can not afford to solve security problems of the localities and construction of new social-cultural edifices, not even reconstruction of old ones. “The authorities of local public administration of 1st and 2nd level ensure maintenance of social-economic activities in this zone at an acceptable level”, is also said the informative note attached to the draft Governmental decision. The PM Vasile Tarlev mentioned that these kinds of activities are included in the Economic Growth and Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper (EGPRSP). There are some localities and even regions in Moldova that are disadvantaged, which need the special attention of authorities”, the premier said, mentioning in this context the localities of Ungheni district and those located in Prut’s plain and those situated in the security zone.
