Government intends to implement modern standards in National Army

The Government wants to implement new standards in the National Army. PM Vasile Tarlev announced about this at a concert dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the National Army of Moldova.
According to the PM, the military reform aims at creating an efficient and modern security system complying with the new geopolitical system. In order to achieve all the planned goals it is needed to reorganize the whole financing and management system and the military reform must be settled as one of the most important political and economic reforms. Vasile Tarlev said that the military education and moral psychological system must be improved.
Tarlev declared that the Government undertook a series of measures aiming at improving the laws related to the military field and that it implements an Action Plan on military’s social protection.
The PM also said that participating in the activities included in the “Partnership for peace” program and also in other bilateral programs confirms the high professionalism of the Moldovan militaries. The appreciations of the foreign experts are adequate proofs in this respect.
The National Army of the Republic of Moldova was created on September 3, 1991.
