The Government has formally accepted the resignation of Serghei Răilean from the post of director of the Public Services Agency (ASP).

Prime Minister Maia Sandu commented that ASP is an important government institution which should be headed by “honorable, responsible and professional people, who are able to ensure proper standards for the services provided, be correct about public spending, and can steer clear of abuses.”

Serghei Răilean had been director of the Registru Agency, the predecessor of ASP, since 2011.

Also on Wednesday, the Government accepted the resignation of Fredolin Lecari as Border Police Chief, a position which he had held since the fall of 2016.

The Government also accepted the resignations of Anatolie Munteanu as MoJ State Secretary, and of Serghei Bucataru as State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure.
