Lexmax came closer to the leading JLC, being three points away after beating it 1-0 in the most important game of the 18th stage. Lexmax is to play one more overdue match and, if it wins, the title of champion will be decided in the ‘gold game’.

The victory to Lexmax was brought by Vladimir Tanurcov. The former player of Sheriff and Zimbru scored in the 17th minute. JLC was close to drawing, but missed two 10-meter kicks as a result of the intervention of goalkeeper Alexei Capsamun.

“Another result than the victory would have removed us from the competition for the title. We want to become champions,” Lexmax president Maxim Lopuhov has told IPN.

In the other match of the stage, Tarsus defeated Atletico 3-2. Tarsus ranks third, with 8 points fewer than JLC.
