The national team had a good performance at the European Youth Boxing Championships that closed in Zagreb on October 26. Dorin Bucsa became champion in the 56 kg class, while Iulian Ivanov won silver in the 49 kg class, IPN reports.
Both of the athletes are from Hancesti and are trained by Igor Untila. They will be awarded on November 21, when it is celebrated the Day of Hancesti Town.
Good results in Zagreb were also achieved by Mihai Cvasiuc from Vadul lui Voda and Cristian Constantinov from Hancesti. They both finished fifth in the 60 kg class and 81 kg class respectively. In the European Youth Championship, Moldova was represented by nine boxers.
