A teenage girl drowned in a lake in Țigănești village of Strășeni district. Mariana Didenco, press officer of the Strășeni Police Inspectorate, has told IPN that two girls aged 12 and 13 went for a walk outside the village, where there is a monastery there. The 13-year-old girl decided to go closer to the lake. She slipped onto a stone and fell into the water.
Police and firefighting teams and am ambulance were on the scene immediately. The girl had signs of life, bur attempts to resuscitate her failed. Legal action was taken in this case, stated Mariana Didenco.
The girl was from Onești village of Strășeni districts.
Rescuers call on the people to avoid steep banks of rivers and deep places and not to swim in places where there are no lifeguards. The minors should be under permanent supervision and should not be allowed to swim alone or in a group in the absence of grownups.
