Gheorghe Gorincioi charged with bribery

Gheorghe Gorincioi, former chairman of the Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC), was formally accused by prosecutors of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office on April 20. Maria Vieru, head of the press service of the Prosecutor Genera’s Office, has told Info-Prim Neo that Gheorghe Gorincioi is charged with bribery. The former chairman of the BCC Wednesday presented himself in court accompanied by his lawyers in order to familiarize himself with the accusations made against him. Earlier, Gheorghe Gorincioi was investigated as a suspect in another legal case, together with the BCC’s administrative director Terentie Cherdivara. Maria Vieru said the case of Terentie Cherdivara was sent to court and a hearing on it is to take place on Thursday, April 21.
