German and Moldovan mounted police to patrol Valea Morilor Park

Policemen from the German Mounted Patrols and the Patrol and Sentinel Regiment “Scut” of MIA will be seen patrolling on Saturday 21 October, between 03.00PM-06.00PM, the Valea Morilor Park from the capital.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), a MIA delegation from Bavaria, Germany, arrived in Chisinau to make an exchange of experience in the field of the mounted police. The German police are represented by the chief police inspector, instructor of the mounted police of Bavaria MIA, Leo Pruski, and police director, deputy-chief of the Central Services Division of the same institution, Gerhard Seitz. The German experts will share their over one century experience in this type of work, offering practical consultations to Moldovan horsemen.
MIA introduced the mounted patrolling in November 2005. At the moment the Patrol and Sentinel Regiment “Scut” has 20 horses, which are used for keeping public order in 12 parks of Chisinau municipality and in two entertainment zones – Ghidighici and Vadul-lui-Voda.
