The vice president of Russia’s gas giant Gazprom Valery Golubev will pay a visit to Moldova on March 2-3. Such an agreement was reached in a meeting with Minister of Economy of Moldova Octavian Calmac, who made a working visit to Moscow. The goal of the visit to Chisinau will be to examine the work of SA Moldovagaz, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Economy, Octavian Calmac had a meeting with the Minister of Energy of Russia Aleksandr Novak. The officials discussed aspects of the bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, the supplying of Moldova with natural gas and electricity by Russia and agreed a set of measures aimed at strengthening the relations in this sector.
The minister also met with Karina Turcan, a member of the Administration Board of the company “Inter RAO”. The interlocutors discussed the provision of electric power to Moldova by the Russian concern and the prospects of cooperation between energy companies from the two states.
