Gavrilița goes to Brussels on her first visit abroad as PM

Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița is paying a working visit to Brussels during September 27-28. This is the first visit abroad paid by Natalia Gavrilița as Prime Minister, at the invitation of the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell Fontelles. She will be accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Forage Affairs and European Integration, IPN reports.

On September 27, Natalia Gavrilița will have meetings with the President of the European Council Charles Michel and the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell Fontelles. She will also have discussions with the European Commissioner for Economy Paolo Gentiloni and European Commissioner for Justice Didier Reynders.

On September 28, the Moldovan Prime Minister will meet with European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi, European Commissioner for Transport Adina Vălean and European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson.

Also, Natalia Gavrilița and Nicu Popescu will take part in a public event alongside Katarína Mathernová, Deputy Director General of the European Commission’s Directorate General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations.

The same day, Natalia Gavrilița will have a meeting with the Moldovan diaspora in Belgium. While in Brussels, the Premier will give a number of interviews for the Western press.
