A final tribute to writer Vladimir Besleaga. The Ministry of Culture has announced the funeral program. Today, starting at 16:00, the writer’s body will be laid at the Orthodox Church “Saints Three Hierarchs” in Chisinau.
Vladimir Besleaga will be laid to rest on Friday, February 28. The mourning ceremony will begin at 09:30 at the National Palace "Nicolae Sulac."
The farewell ceremony will take place at 12:00 at the Central Cemetery on Armeneasca Street.
February 28 has been declared a national day of mourning, according to a presidential decree. The State Flag of the Republic of Moldova will be flown at half-mast in all localities across the country, as well as in the diplomatic and consular missions of the Republic of Moldova abroad, IPN reports.
Writer Vladimir Besleaga was born on July 25, 1931, in the village of Malaiesti, Grigoriopol district, and passed away on February 25 at the age of 93.
