The fundamental problem of the Republic of Moldova is its lack of identity as an internal coagulant. Society seems unstrung, without a unique purpose. People in this country do not fight for a common goal, there is no such common goal, and different sections of this society fight for different goals. This opinion belongs to the political scientist Anatol Taranu and was expressed at "Fabrika" show, Publica TV station, IPN reports.

Anatol Taranu claims that after almost three decades since the proclamation of independence, the Republic of Moldova is a state with major issues: it is the poorest country in Europe, state institutions do not work, citizens are disappointed, there is no cohesion within the society. "The binding material that should make it a whole, as one fist, does not exist and then a natural question arises: what is the matter with this state? What is its purpose? The question arises naturally, in particular if we compare Moldova to the Baltic republics with which we had the same starting line”, says the political pundit.

Oazu Nantoi, MP of ACUM bloc, says that during the years of independence, the Republic of Moldova was not able to create its national economy, to absorb labour force, to create an education system connected to the national economy, so that this labour force would join the country’s economy.

In his opinion, the so-called geopolitical issue in the Republic of Moldova is usually a tool for the manipulation of voters. At the same time, the exodus of young people from the Republic of Moldova leads to the fact that the core of people who think critically, who analyse, who are able to keep under control the politicians to whom they have delegated the power, represents a minority. "Only by mobilizing citizens, only when each citizen finds that the Republic of Moldova is his success story, we could speak, without doctrines and without external actors, about the" success story "of the Republic of Moldova," said the parliamentarian.
