During the next three days, gasoline COR 95 will cost 32.13 lei/liter, 0.17 lei down, while diesel fuel will cost 30.01 lei/liter, 0.37 lei down. These are the price ceilings announced by the National Agency for Energy Regulation, IPN reports.
According to the Agency, the Brent crude oil quotations on July 7 remained at US$104 per barrel, according to Trading Economics, and are forecast to end the week around this value. However, the oil prices are yet by about 35% higher than at the beginning of the year because the global post-COVID economic recovery coincided with the disruption of markets and traditional logistics chains owing to Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.
The average Platts quotations on July 8 declined by 57.8 $/tonne of gasoline (4.3%) and by 124.6 $/tonne of diesel (9.3%) on June 24. As a result, the pump prices of gasoline COR 95 and diesel fuel are influenced down.
Before the downward trend, the prices of gasoline and diesel fuel had grown continuously. For comparison, at the beginning of last September, a liter of gasoline COR 95 cost 20.23 lei, while a liter of diesel fuel cost 16.42 lei.
