The National Agency for Energy Regulation set higher price ceilings for fuel products of the standard type for the next three days, October 8-10. Gasoline COR 95 will be sold for at most 24.57 lei a liter, up 0.14 lei on today, while diesel fuel will cost at most 26.38 lei, up 0.32 lei, IPN reports.

The liquefied petroleum gas, for which the Agency does not set price ceilings, is today sold for 16.70 lei a liter.

The increases in fuel prices follow a period of declines. At the beginning of last September, a liter of gasoline COR 95 cost 20.23 lei, while a liter of diesel fuel –16.42 lei. A series of price rises occurred in the first half of this year, with a record high being witnessed in June, when gasoline COR 95 was sold for 33.90 lei a liter, while diesel fuel for 32.46 lei a liter.
