Fuels grow more expensive again. The National Agency for Energy Regulation announced higher price ceilings for Tuesday. A liter of gasoline COR 95 will cost 24.70 lei/liter, by 0.10 lei more than today, while the diesel fuel will be sold for 22.26 lei/liter, up 0.15 lei, IPN reports.

According to the Agency, after a period of over a month during which the prices declined, the quotations on international exchanges have gone up. “Consequently, the last rises in fuel prices are due exclusively to the increase in the Platts quotations for oil derivatives on international exchanges as the current method for determining prices is based on his indicator,” noted the institution.

During the last two weeks, the Platts quotations have grown by US$73 per tonne in the case of diesel fuel and by US$46 per tonne in the case of gasoline. This tendency persists.

The quotations for Brent crude oil the last few years rose to over US$85 per barrel, up from US$79 per barrel at the beginning of February.
