Gasoline COR 95 during the next three days will cost 24.25 lei/liter (-0.04 lei), while standard diesel fuel – 20.46 lei/liter (-0.07 lei). The National Agency for Energy Regulation said the fuel prices have declined for the fifth week, IPN reports.

The price reduction for standard diesel fuel over the last five weeks was 1.33 lei/liter, while for COR 95 gasoline – 1.04 lei/liter. Pump prices get closer to the minimum values recorded this year.

“The reductions are due to the decrease in the Platts quotations for oil products and, partially, to a slight appreciation of the national currency against the US dollar. At the same time, the price of the benchmark crude oil for Europe, the Brent brand, fell to $76/barrel during the current week, a level comparable to that recorded at the beginning of this year. Simultaneously, an upward trend in Brent quotations against the reached minimum level is expected this weekend,” the Agency said in a press release.
