The deputy head of the Balti local office of the State Chancellery Oleg Botnaru is the new member of the parliamentary group of the Party of Action and Solidarity. The Constitutional Court validated the seat assigned to him according to the PAS’s list of substitute candidates, IPN reports.

The seat of MP fell vacant following the death of Iurie Păsat.

Oleg Botnaru, 55, is from Glodeni district. He graduated from the Faculty of Languages at “Alecu Russo” State University of Balti and then continued his studies in public administration. He worked as a journalist at Radio Moldova and as a scientific researcher at the Museum of History and Ethnography in Chisinau.

Between 2019 and 2021, he sat as a local councilor in Fundurii Vechi village. From 2021 until now, he served as the deputy head of the Balti local office of the State Chancellery, responsible for Glodeni district.
