Children and adults with special needs can access free dental services under the Dental Care Service with General Anesthesia in Hospital Conditions, IPN reports.
The service is available by appointment only.
Children with special needs can schedule dental treatment at the Republican Clinical Hospital for Children "Emilian Cotaga", Monday to Friday, between 09:00 – 14:00, by calling: 0 (22) 72 81 14.
Adults with disabilities can schedule appointments at the Republican Center for Oro-Maxillofacial Surgery, located within the Institute of Emergency Medicine, Monday to Friday, between 09:00 – 15:00, at the following numbers: 0 (79) 993 566, 0 (22) 25 07 61, and 0 (22) 94 43 17.
Appointments must be made by parents or legal guardians, who will provide the patient's medical history and describe their symptoms. Specialists will then determine the necessary examinations, therapeutic approach, and treatment plan.
The Dental Care Service with General Anesthesia has been operational since June 2024, with treatment costs covered by the National Health Insurance Company. So far, 38 adults and 98 children have benefited from the service.
