The visas for Moldova will be available in electronic format too, IPN reports, quoting a bill to amend a number of laws approved by the Government.
The applications for electronic visas will be processed by the General Consular Affairs Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration. The consular tax for this type of visa will be the equivalent in Moldovan lei of €60, said Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Natalia Gherman.
The Ministry is now testing the visa management information system that will issue electronic visas to foreign citizens. It is projected that after the amendments are passed by Parliament, the E-visa service will be launched on May 1, 2014.
