The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova expressed his bewilderment at the visit paid by the Russian Minister of Defense Anatoly Serdiukov to the Transnistrian visit, which wasn’t coordinated with the constitutional authorities, Info-Prim Neo reports. On this occasion, the Ministry on April 12 summoned the acting charge d’affaires of Russia to Moldova and told him about the inadmissible character of such an act that generates questions as to the aim of the visit and its possible impact on the bilateral Moldovan-Russian relations. The Ministry also transmitted a verbal note to the Russian Embassy, asking that it provide explanations. On April 12, Anatoly Serdiukov, accompanied by the former commander of the 14th Army Yevgeny Evnevich, landed at the Shkolinyi Airport in Odessa, from where they traveled to Tiraspol. According to the Russian press, the minister paid a short visit to Tiraspol and visited the military facilities of Russia in the Transnistrian region.
