An apartment in a building in Soroca municipality was engulfed in flames. Firefighters evacuated five people, including two children, IPN reports.
The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations said that the fire broke out on the upper floor of a five-story block. To extinguish the fire, four firefighting teams arrived at the scene. The fire engulfed a two-room apartment. To avoid poisoning with fumes and smoke, the people from the neighboring apartments were evacuated.
The fire fully destroyed the objects in the hall and also in the two rooms. No one was injured.
The circumstances of the fire are yet to be determined. According to the Inspectorate’s data, 259 fires happened in Moldova so far this year.
