The last wagon with diesel donated by Romania arrived in Moldova on Wednesday and the distribution of fuel to farmers begins on Thursday, the first districts being Anenii Noi, Basarabeasca, and Criuleni. The authorities worked out a schedule for the distribution of diesel fuel to the country’s districts, IPN reports.
The last wagon was unloaded at the warehouse in Causeni on Wednesday evening. Today, diesel fuel will be delivered to the three districts on a trial basis. The Material Reserves Agency is responsible for the distribution of diesel fuel, Vasile Sarban, state secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, said during a meeting with heads of district agricultural divisions.
According to him, it is very important for the recipients to respect the set schedule. “In addition to this schedule, the Material Reserves Agency also drew up a distribution methodology, which was published and explains the process. Communicate with local economic agents so that they already have an agreement with those diesel fuel transporters and we are sure that they have what to transport the fuel with,” stated Vasile Sarban.
The official also said that each economic agent must come in person to pick the diesel fuel up or can delegate a person who holds a power of attorney. The list of necessary documents is available on the Agency’s website.
The authorities last April announced that Romania decided to donate 4,000 tonnes of diesel fuel as humanitarian aid to Moldova so as to help the Moldovan farmers.
