Fiodor Ghelici, president of the Public Association "Moldova mea”, claims that the relatives of the suspects allegedly involved in the murder of a man from Vulcănești offered a four-room apartment to the prosecutors from Chișinău who are investigating the case in order to change the charge article from "murder" to "hooliganism".

In an IPN press conference, Fiodor Ghelici, said that, after the case was sent to court and the victim's family received copies of the case materials, he found that four of the five suspects are only charged with hooliganism. According to information that Fiodor Ghelici claims to possess, the suspects paid law enforcement agents in Nisporeni 75 thousand euros. After the case was transferred to Chisinau, the investigation bodies were "bought" with a four-room apartment.

The president of the Association "Moldova mea" alleges that the case prosecutor did not do his job. The case materials do not indicate how many gunshot wounds the victim had. Additionally, the case materials include a single gun, although it is known that two guns were fired. The activist adds that the prosecutor ignored the forensic report and testimonies of the victim's wife and daughter, who witnessed the murder.

Present at the conference, Olga Stoica, the victim's wife, said that the murder happened late at night. While her husband and herself were unloading goods from the car parked at the gate, a second car approached. Five men came out of the car and fired shots in her husband's direction. Afterwards, the aggressors got in the car and drove away, while her husband was left injured on the ground. Although he was taken to the hospital, he could not be rescued.

The woman added that the Nisporeni forensic report showed that her husband was shot three times, though she heard more shots and insisted on a repeated forensic examination in Chisinau. Chisinau forensic doctors found that the man had 5 gunshot wounds. Olga Stoica asks authorities to reinvestigate the case and to harshly punish the criminals who murdered her husband. If justice is not provided, the woman is determined to protest in front of the Presidency building together with her children.
