The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova announces that the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Finland Elina Valtonen on January 9 will pay an official visit to the Republic of Moldova in her capacity as OSCE Chairperson-in-Office. During the visit, the Finnish official will have meetings with her Moldovan counterpart Mihai Popșoi, Prime Minister Dorin Recean and Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian, IPN reports.
The discussions will center on essential topics such as "the role of the OSCE in strengthening the resilience and stability of the Republic of Moldova, the process of settling the Transnistrian conflict, including in the context of the country's European path, as well as regional security aspects," the Ministry’s press release notes.
Also, emphasis will be placed on the priorities of the bilateral relationship and on ways to intensify the Moldovan-Finnish dialogue, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova said.
