Fewer tourists come to Moldova

The number of tourists accommodated in collective tourist facilities over January-March this year and of nights spent there fell by 7.7% compared with the corresponding period last year, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the National Bureau of Statistics.
The tourist accommodation capacity was 631,000 places/days, a 5.9% increase.
The hotels and models accommodated 44.4% of all the tourists, the health spas – 25.6%, the holiday resorts – 11.2%, the hostels –7.6%, the pensions – 6.9%, the camps for students – 4.3%.
The largest number of tourists came from Romania (19.2%), followed by Ukraine (11.2%), Russia (9.3%), the United States (7.7%), Italy (6.4%), Turkey (5.9%), Switzerland (5.2%) and Germany (4.1%).
