Now that the damaged segment of the pipe that supplies water to Floreni, Sangera, Dobrogea and Revaca was replaced, the number of leakages decreased significantly. After the newly built water pipeline was put into operation, normal water supply was restored and the inhabitants are now supplied with water round-the-clock, SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” says in a communique, quoted by IPN.
During three months, the public utility performed a series of works to replace a portion of about 2 km of the steel pipe with the diameter of 400 mm, which is over 40 years old, with a pipe from ductile cast iron. A high number of accidents occurred there earlier.
To improve the quality of the water supply services in the mentioned settlements, the company’s employees will replace another 3 km of the water pipeline.
