Sixty-nine cases of infection with COVID-19 were confirmed in Moldova on May 3 after processing 368 samples. There was also reported one death. This is a woman aged 80 from the municipality of Chisinau, who was admitted to “Toma Ciorbă” Infectious Diseases Hospital on April 29, IPN reports, with reference to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection.
Of the confirmed cases, 26 were recorded in Chisinau, 14 in the Transnistrian region. Also, nine of those diagnosed with the infection are healthcare workers.
The infections with COVID-19 now total 4,121. In total, 1,382 persons were cured, while 125 lost the battle with the disease.
