Coach Lilian Popescu made a good debut for FC Tiraspol, which beat Saxan 4-0 in a match of the 19th stage of the National Division, IPN reports.
The four goals were scored in the first half by Shapoval (16th minute, Yermak (20th), Molla (23rd), and Boghiu (34th). FC Tiraspol has 25 points, being eight points away from the leading Dacia. The two teams will meet in the next round in Speia on March 5. “I liked our game. We are yet to play two hard matches, against Dacia and Milsami. I’m convinced that we can finish the championship among the top three teams,” FC Tiraspol coach Lilian Popescu told a news conference.
The other two matches of the 19th team ended as follows: Zimbru - Milsami 0-2, while Zaria - Sheriff 0-1. Dacia is two points ahead of Milsami and three points ahead of Sheriff.
