FC Tiraspol and Milsami closer to Dacia in National Division rankings

Sheriff Tiraspol has widened its lead in the National Football Division rankings after beating Rapid Ghidighici away 2-0 on April 21. The goals were scored by Serghei Gheorghiev and Miral Samardzic in the first half.

Sheriff now has an advantage of 11 points over Dacia, which lost the derby match with Milsami 1-0. Brazilian footballer Guilherme De Paula scored the victory goal in the last minutes of the game. Now Milsami is only four points away from Dacia.

FC Tiraspol advanced to only two points from Dacia after defeating FC Speranta 5-0. Giorgi Karaneychev of Bulgaria scored three goals, while Alexandru Grosu – two goals.

The other matches of the stage ended as follows: Academia Chisinau – Nistru Otaci 5-1, Olimpia Balti – Zimbru Chisinau 2-2. The encounter between Iskra-Stal Rybnitsa and FC Costuleni didn’t take place because the players of Iskra-Stal didn’t come out on the field in protest at the salary arrears of the club’s administration. Under the regulations, the team will be penalized with a 0-3 technical defeat and a heavy fine.
