FC Costuleni and Speranta haven’t been issued with licenses enabling them to play in the National Division next season. The teams can appeal the decision to the Appeals Body of the Football Clubs Licensing System of the Moldovan Football Federation within five days.

Contacted by IPN, chairman of the Federation’s Licensing Committee Mihai Anghel refused to say why FC Costuleni and Speranta weren’t issued with a national license. It’s known that Speranta has debts towards the players and has slim chances to avoid the relegation, coming last in the championship. FC Costuleni ranks sixth in the National Division and can be relegated only on license-related grounds. Costuleni club’s president Iurie Chirinciuc was unavailable for comment.

Another three teams - Dinamo-Auto, Academia, and Olimpia – obtained the national license and will be able to take part in the 2014/15 season. Sheriff, FC Tiraspol, Veris, Dacia, Zimbru, and Milsami got the UEFA license allowing them to compete in the European cups.
