The first leg matches of the quarterfinals of the national basketball championship have been played. The favorites played at home and scored victories, IPN reports.
In Cahul, Gamma-Sind met UST-SSSCJRO. The hosts led during the first three sets, but lost the fourth set by 13-17 after the coach of Gamma sent younger players to the field. However, the final score was 93-55 for Gamma, which already qualified for the semifinals. Mihailov and Tiutiunic scored the largest number of points - 20 and, respectively, 19.
The other matches ended as follows: Donbasket-USM - Soroca-Baschet 117-54, UASM - USMF 74-57, while Rybnitsa-UTM – Admiral - UTM 103-88.
The return games are played on March 29.
