As from next week, farmers can file applications to receive post-investment subsidies. Applications will be accepted until November 16. Also from September 18 until November 16, the farmers can apply for subsidies in advance, IPN reports.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry said the post-investment subsidies will be provided for priority areas decided as a result of consultations with the business community. This way, farmers will recover a part of the investments made in plantations, greenhouses, irrigation equipment, animal farms, soil processing technologies, postharvest infrastructure, development of rural agritourism, etc.
Applications can be submitted to the local offices of the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture in the region where the investment was made. The documents can be accessed on the Agency’s website.
Applications for subsidies in advance can also be lodged with local offices of the Agency, by those who are interested in starting or developing businesses in the agricultural sector and rural areas, including micro and small famers, research and innovation institutions, agro-industrial educational institutions. The state will finance investments made to improve and develop rural economic infrastructure, to develop agricultural exploitation infrastructure, to diversity rural economic activities and to stimulate production on protected areas.
