A family of Moldovans with a child aged two living in Nepal refused to return to Moldova within the evacuation mission staged by the Ukrainian authorities on May 5, IPN reports.
Head of the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova Ana Taban said the family was informed that it can return to Moldova within the evacuation missions organized by the Russian or Ukrainian authorities, but it refused. It’s not known when a new such mission is staged. The Ministry is permanently in contact with the family. There is no information about other Moldovans in Nepal.
More than 7,000 people died and over 14,000 people were hurt in a quake measuring 7.8 on the Richter scale in Nepal on April 25.
