The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Moldova has refuted public claims regarding alleged sightings of missiles and reports of loud explosions heard in northern Moldova. The ministry clarified that the National Army's aerial surveillance systems did not detect any violations of the country's airspace.

Meanwhile, the Border Police issued a press release stating that on Thursday morning, between 07:58 and 08:10, patrols in the areas of responsibility for the Briceni, Ocnița, and Otaci Border Police, near the border crossing points "Grimancauti-Vaskivti", "Birnova-Voloscovo", and "Otaci-Moghilev Podolsk", reported hearing several explosions on Ukrainian territory.

According to Ukrainian authorities, the Novodnestrovsk Hydroelectric Power Plant was targeted, and Ukraine's air defense systems repelled the attack. As a result, starting at 08:05, the Otaci and Unguri border crossing points suspended operations due to air raid alerts on Ukrainian territory. Activity at these checkpoints resumed at 09:20.

In response to an inquiry from IPN, government spokesperson Daniel Voda stated that "in such situations, all details, operational information, witness statements, and data provided by the Ukrainian side are thoroughly verified and corroborated".

It is worth noting that on Tuesday, November 19, another drone was discovered within Moldovan territory, in the capital city of Chisinau. Similar drones have previously been found in Moldova, in the districts of Causeni, Criuleni, and Rascani.
