With Moldovans remembering their dead on Memorial Easter over this weekend, food safety specialists strongly recommend avoiding eating and sharing perishable food in cemeteries.

In a press release, the National Food Safety Agency says that easily perishable food products refer to mayonnaise-based salads, eggs, meat and meat products, fish and fish products, as well as pastries.

Organizing memorial meals is recommended only in authorized places. It is prohibited to accept home-prepared food products in commercial and catering establishments.

Consumers can report detected non-conformities to the Agency’s phone numbers on 022-26-46-43, Viber – 067675544 or to the e-mail addresses: info@ansa.gov.md and comunicare@ansa.gov.md. At the same time, the telephone number of the Agency’s Green Line can be called free of charge: 0 800 800 33, from any telephone network.
