A majority coalition and a new Government will be formed because the political class does not have an alternative. Such a conclusion was formulated by experts invited to the program “Moldova live” on the public TV channel Moldova 1, IPN reports.

Analyst Victor Ciobanu considers the situation is serious and the political class must take immediate measures to remedy it. “The leaders of the government coalition suggested that a majority coalition will be formed in Parliament after the local elections. The coalition has no other solution. The main demands of the Liberal Party, related to the Ministry of Transport and the prosecutor general, could be satisfied. I think the politicians realize the difficult situation in which we are. We do not have a Government and the IMF does not come. If the IMF does not come, foreign investors will also not come,” he stated.

Expert of the Institute for Development and Social Initiatives “Viitorul” Corneliu Ciurea also believes that the Government will be formed, despite the difficult situation created. “I think we will soon have a Government and a parliamentary majority will also be formed. There is no other way out. The security of the state is in danger. I think not corruption, but the security of the state is now our main problem. The fight against corruption by the model used by Romania would weaken our political class,” stated the expert.

Director of the Market Research Institute Roman Chirca said there is no other alternative than immediately forming the Government. “An enormous gap was formed in the public finances, which the authorities are trying to hide. There is a risk of a default and of particular projects in infrastructure being stopped. The EU has its own problems. I don’t think it will speak about Moldova as about a success story. There were signals that the allocation of financing to Moldova will be halted. The Moldovan political class is at a crossroads. It has no other solution than to mobilize and overcome the crisis,” he stated.
