A documentary titled “The Orchestra Man” about the biography of the man of culture Vasile Căpățână was shown at the Municipal Library B. P. Hașdeu in Chisinau on June 7, IPN reports.
“They say a man should raise a child, dig a well and plant a tree. I did all these, but the man always wants something else. I think this something else can be considered the film “The Orchestra Man”,” stated the author of the film Gheorghe Ciobanu.
Gheorghe Ciobanu stated for IPN that he made the film out of respect for Vasile Căpățână whom he considers a mountain man hard like a rock, but with a sensible heart.
The film tells about the life and personality of Vasile Căpățână through the eyes of persons who knew him. “I saw myself. I saw my life. It’s an honor to have academician Mihai Cimpoi or poet Iulian Filip telling their opinions in the film. In general, it is a good film. This film it’s an honor for me,” stated protagonist Vasile Căpățână.
Vasile Căpățână is a poet, plastic artist, actor and bio-energetician. He graduated from the Faculty of Modern Languages and Theatrical Arts of the State University of Moldova. He was born in Cernoleuca village of Dondușeni distcrit.
