The Polish regional airline Eurolot will launch flights from Chisinau, Moldova, to Warsaw, Poland, beginning on October 26, 2014. Flights will be operated by the Bombardier Q400 NextGen aircraft that can seat 78 passengers, IPN learned from a press release of the company.

Moldovans can also take advantage of the code-share agreement with LOT Polish Airlines, the Polish national carrier. The cooperation enables passengers to make a quick and convenient connection at the Warsaw airport to other LOT flights, including long-haul routes – to Chicago, Toronto, New York or Beijing. Moreover, the agreement makes it easier to purchase tickets by passengers of both airlines. One of the advantages is the possibility to use a single ticket from Chisinau to Warsaw with Eurolot and to other destinations with LOT.

“The launching of the Chisinau-Warsaw route by Eurolot is not only an opportunity to make new business contacts but also to open both countries to more visitors. Hopefully, the connection will contribute to better promotion of Eurolot and our country in Moldova and improve business relations between both countries”, said Karolina Bursa, Spokesperson at Eurolot SA.

According to the press release, the passengers who decide to fly with Eurolot's new flight will have the opportunity to discover the beauty of one of the most fascinating and fastest developing European capitals – the city of Warsaw. Places worth seeing include: the Royal Castle and the Old Town, the modern Copernicus Science Centre, the Royal Łazienki Museum or Nowy Świat street with numerous shops and cafés.

The route from Chisinau to Warsaw will be operated 4 times a week: every Wednesday and Sunday at 5:55 pm, and every Monday and Friday at 2:45 pm. Return ticket prices start from PLN 799. A detailed timetable is available at www.eurolot.com.

Eurolot was launched in 1996. Since 2011, the company has been operating flights between major regional airports in Poland. In 2012, Eurolot began to implement a strategy of connecting Polish cities with many regions and cities all over Europe. The company also operates charter flights and flights commissioned by other operators, including LOT Polish Airlines. The carrier operates 32 routes in Poland and Europe and has 11 modern Bombardier Q400 NextGen turboprop airliners. Eurolot is an active member of the European Regions Airline Association (ERA).
